Edge (And Confirmation) - Even in my weakness, I am strong!

How can we deal with difficulties in our daily life? Why do we have to struggle so much sometimes? How can we find strength even in our weakness? If you have these or any other questions about how to deal with your daily crosses, come to Egde next Friday, March 23, when we will learn how to gain confidence in Christ who gives us the ability to live good and holy lives despite of our weaknesses, as well as discover the areas in our lives that we need to give over to Him.

Who? Grade 7 and 8 students

When? Friday, March 23rd from 6:45-9:00pm

Where? Merciful Redeemer Parish Basement

Bring all of your friends! :)

Fore more details, check the LifeTeen Tab

Hunger Games: Critique of evil, or glorification of it? Both, neither? Hmmm...

To tell you the truth, I have not read the books nor watched the movie (obviously, since it comes out on Friday) so I will have to do so before I can form an opinion, but a friend of mine sent me this and I think it might be worth looking at. I don't necessarily think you have to either rush to read the books/watch the movie or avoid doing so, but it is always good to be smart and critical consumers of entertainment, and this video poses some interesting questions you might want to think of as you are watching the film or reading the books :)

Confirmation Date - St. Rose of Lima Students

Attention St. Rose of Lima grade 8 Confirmation students: Just to clarify, if you do come this weekend with your sponsor, that is fine, although the date that is scheduled for you is NEXT SATURDAY, MARCH 24. This was due to a typo on the original dates schedule. There will be sponsor booklets ready for you at the pews both this weekend and next, so don't stress out about it :) Enjoy your March Break weekend and see you all soon at Edge! :)
